During Summer 2019/2020 our GTMadhouse project was completed! We were gearing up to photograph this home to share with all, but due to Covid 19 restrictions, we have had to make adjustments and ultimately think outside the box. We asked our clients to create some candid snapshots during isolation and wollah! Introducing our #maytreeisodiaries.
#GTMADHouse is home to an eccentric, creative and quirky family of four. We have loved every part of the journey working alongside this family and it has been an absolute delight seeing their, now lived in and loved, home come to life filled with their belongings.
Rachel and Simon came to us in October 2017 where we workshopped their dream forever home. The brief for this pre 1946 original workers cottage included a new living pavilion at the rear of the dwelling, reconnecting the existing backyard and pool. A new parents retreat perched above, capturing city views, introduce volume and drama to the new extension and use courtyard spaces that filter daylight and ventilation throughout the home. The original cottage was retired to a new rumpus room and sleeping spaces for the boys with a carport, study and laundry housed in the lower level.
With taste that continually puts a smile on our faces, personalities that kept us laughing along the way, this project was a favourite for all that was involved and its completion has been eagerly anticipated.
We can’t wait to share more with you once restrictions lift, so in the meantime, here is a little snapshot diary courtesy of Rachel’s iphone for your viewing pleasure!
